Wow... I haven't posted anything in so long! And I've been making some delicious desserts!!! My new favorite is french macarons!!! So freakin' delicious... Any who I doubt any one reads this, but I just thought I would post anyway because I wish I kept this blog up, it was such a fun idea in the first place! So what I made was chocolate macarons by replacing about 1/6 cup of the regular flour mixture with semi sweet cocoa powder. Then I made cream cheese frosting for the inside and placed a fresh raspberry at the center of each macaron! Oh! Were they ever heavenly!! Sorry I don't have pictures or the recipe for your today.

Patisserie

I am sorry, but when I go online and find these adorable pictures of delicious little cakes and desserts it makes me want to start a patisserie! They just look so good and cute. If only I knew how to makes things as delicate and intricate as these.... I guess it might be a little bad to know how to make them because then I would eat them all the time and probably get fat and unhealthy.):

I wanted to put some pictures up from Patisserie Angelica, which is a lovely little shop in Sebastopol that makes the most delicious cakes, but I couldn't get any from their site. Oh well, their cakes are not as adorable as these ones in the photos, but they are very pretty and good. I love to bake and sometimes my creations turn out really good, but sometimes they turn out really bad.... I need some baking lessons and then maybe I won't mess up so much!

Cheese Cake

Hello again everyone! I made cheese cake today! It's not your typical cheese cake with the crust and all, but is really delicious! Although the recipe really was not correct because it said to bake them for 20 minutes and we ended up cooking them for about 40 minutes because they would not cook!!!! It was insane and a little nerve racking at first because I thought they were ruined for a little, but then of course my mom came home and helped me finish them! Anyway, since the recipe didn't work out right I won't be posting it, but if you really want it let me know! Happy cooking every one!(:

Zucchini Muffins!

First off I would like to say that zucchini muffins are not the most beautiful muffins ever, but they do taste very good! (Sorry about the blurry picture above(:) These are some of my favorite muffins to make because they taste good and are not completely unhealthy! Also I would suggest making a small batch because they taste the best when fresh ( as in eat within a day or two) unless you like to eat large amounts of muffins in one day!(:

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Baking time: 20-25 minutes (10-15 for minutes for mini-muffins)
Servings: 12 muffins

Wet Ingredients:
2 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3/4-1 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups of grated zucchini

Dry Ingredients:
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup unbleached white flour
1 cup corn meal
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

Preheat oven to 350 degrees farenheit.
In a large bowl mix together the wet ingredients stirring in the zucchini last. In a separate bowl sift the dry ingredients. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Be careful not to over mix the batter.
Spoon the batter into oiled standard muffin tins. Fill the tins 3/4th of the way full and bake for 20-25 minutes (10-15 minutes for mini-muffins), until puffed and golden brown. A knife inserted into the center of the muffin should come out clean.
Have fun and enjoy(:
